Daylight Savings Time?

I don't like Daylight Savings Time.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Now, don’t forget to set your clocks ahead (“Spring Forward”) tonight.

Other Beauties In The World

Wishing Well On A Foggy Winter Morning

I found an old fortune cookie message in the bottom of a drawer. It said, “You make people realize that there exist other beauties in the world.” I’m not sure what that means, but I like how it sounds.  If I can just help people enjoy and appreciate the “regular” beauties that fill our world, I’ll be happy and blessed.

Beautiful morning sky on Christmas Eve 2010

This beautiful sky with solar pillar appeared just before sunrise in North Central Indiana on Christmas Eve 2010. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Blanket of Light

The pre-dawn sky in Central Indiana was a beautiful sight this morning. Scenes like this seem to be more common in the winter months. Or, it’s possible that I’m just more regularly awake to see them!

Today’s Dawn Sky – Free Wallpaper

In case you missed it, or just didn’t have the time to soak it in, here is this morning’s beautiful sky, before the sun came up. Click it and you can see it full size, set up to fit a widescreen monitor. Allan James (z92five) mentioned on the air that it looked “like a volcano.” I grabbed my camera. Enjoy.

Summer Skies Satisfy

Blessed. Lucky. Fortunate. Call it what you will…we see some beautiful scenes here in North Central Indiana. Last night, the moon came up big and bright through some scattered clouds.

Then, this morning, the sun blasted its way through some similarly sieve-like clouds.

I hope you enjoy these views when they appear. If you miss one, I might have captured it.

Just ask.

Monday Morning Photos – Between Showers

The deep shadows of early morning light can help give a particular interest to many scenes.  The brilliant greens of this season are also attractive, and I’m blessing to live in farm country. Enjoy!

God has invested in the Spring

Sunshine and crystals falling

God has invested in the Spring by the purchase of snow. Even though it appears dirty now, when the sun warms the Earth, it will pay its dividend. Invest all things in yourself – work and aimless wandering, purity and silliness, weeping and singing, wild imagination and the pursuit of God.

A scene I would have missed.

I was peeking in on Twitter this morning, and @AmyStark posted,”If you are in Central #Indiana, please take a moment to look at the sunrise. Truly breathtaking.”

I’m glad she did. I would have missed it, even sitting in front of a window facing South. Thanks to @AmyStark for reminding me to simply look and enjoy.

Have a great day!
